Gibson Limited Edition Les Paul Custom (9 lbs 15 oz)
Antique Alpine White
LPC-PSL17771 - Serial # CS403893
New from Dexter Music Center
Authorized Gibson Dealer and Service Center
This guitar has a little finish cracking at the bridge, bass side. (see pic)
The MAP price on these are $6,299.00
I have lowered the price to compensate.
The finish on this limited run was experimental.
Instead of "classic white", I decided to add antique toner
to the last three coats of lacquer as I do with my limited reissue runs.
It adds warmth to the color and tones down the binding, taking the bright white to a nice subtle aged look. In talking with the finish professionals, a point was made that this would age better than the "classic white". Notice the pic at the neck joint. As the toner is in the last three coats of lacquer, it doesn't fill in like a solid classic white would. Adding to the authentic look. As the guitar would start showing wear, the original alpine white would also start showing through as the 70's guitars would do over time. The added bonus is that the guitar doesn't smell like an ashtray!
Designed to Be the Best
Gibson Custom Shop is the pinnacle of craftsmanship, quality, and sound excellence. Each instrument celebrates Gibson's legacy through accuracy, authenticity and attention to detail.
As the flagship model from Gibson Custom Shop, the Les Paul Custom lives up to the high standards set by its 1950s archetype while evolving to a level of tone and performance more suited to today's musical demands. Beneath the layers of its "tuxedo" appointments lies the crisp, edgy voice of an Alnico II Burstbucker set, a solid Ebony fingerboard, a long neck tenon for maximum sustain and a two-piece maple top over a solid mahogany body which adds the perfect amount of sonic bite to everything from jazz to hard rock. It sounds as good as it looks, and it looks as good as it sounds!
